I hadn't thought about the difference talking in cars or walking. But I have used it: When we had a car I made it a habit to discuss uncomfortable business then, looking at the road, not the person I was making uncomfortable. Of course these girls get out to get to know each better--same dynamic.
That car has great suspense.
